Loved of the Gods

Oh, how beautiful it is to be loved of the gods!

But truly, no one is more loved than another.

For are the gods not pleasure and pain, fullness and want, fury and peace, life and death?

And so, their love is as much sadness as joy, as much curse as blessing.
